This is the 2nd annual Moab All-Church Campout! Get to know your neighbors in the desert! When? Memorial Day Weekend; May 24-27 (12pm check in / 12pm check out from campsites) Where? Lone Mesa Campground, Group Site C Moab, UT (see details below) |
Who?
ALL ROARING FORK METHODISTS, FAMILIES, & FRIENDS! Space is limited to the first 40 participants & 10 vehicles in the campground. Please fill out registration form for each person attending. Attendance will be capped when the trip is filled!
What does it cost?
$20/person for 3 nights camping @ the group site (includes Sunday Breakfast)! Other individual costs not included (see below). So CHEAP!

Where do we sleep?
BYO tent/trailer/RV/camper. This year, large RV's are welcome in a limited number. Be advised, it can be WINDY in spite of the spring's generally great weather. Be prepared to stake down your tent!
What do we eat?
BYO cooler & food (or head to Moab to enjoy the restaurants!), though we will be having ONE potluck dinner Saturday evening and ONE provided hot breakfast with worship Sunday Morning, courtesy of our "JAB" gentlemen!
Where can I park my car?
Up to 10 vehicles are allowed in the group site. There is additional roadside parking nearby, but we encourage you to carpool and save some gas! If you are a single person and need a ride, let us know so we can connect you with an open vehicle! **See registration online form**
What do I pack?
Pack for spring weather in the desert. This means...be prepared for anything from "STORM to WARM" Be sure to bring plenty of WATER! See details below!
Can I bring my dog/pet rock?
Friendly dogs are allowed at the group site, but must be kept under control. Nearby road traffic can be busy! Keep in mind that NO DOGS are allowed off pavement (on trails) at Arches OR Canyonlands NP. Also, the desert can be hot, windy, and sometimes have predators such as snakes/coyotes. Please keep your dog under control/on leash at all times. If your dog cannot play well with others, please leave them in the comfort of a neighbor or daycare at home. Pet rocks are welcome.

* Lone Mesa Group Campsite is 3 hours from Glenwood Springs (18 miles from town of Moab, UT), but only minutes from the amazing hiking, biking, and site-seeing of Deadhorse Point State Park AND Canyonlands NP! Did you attend last year? Lone Mesa is only 5 miles up the road (toward Moab) from Horsethief Mesa Trails.
* Lone Mesa Group Site C accommodates up to 40 people, up to 10 vehicles (some overflow vehicle parking allowed).
* Larger trailers/RV's are permitted, but must be counted as a vehicle. Overflow parking available for passenger vehicles nearby.
* This is a remote desert camping environment. Pit toilets are present at each site. No trash pickup is available. Please plan to pack out your trash/recycling when you leave.
* THERE IS NO RUNNING/POTABLE WATER AT CAMPGROUND. EACH FAMILY/GROUP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR BRINGING 1 GALLON OF WATER PER PERSON PER DAY.
*Be prepared for ALL kinds of weather, from MILD to WILD, from WARM to STORM! Checking the forecast is advised before departure.
* What is there to do in Moab? Whether you sit around and soak up the sun, explore the National Park Visitor Center, or spend your days on hiking, rafting, & climbing adventures, you'll be sure to enjoy both the environment as well as the fellowship of friends. NOTE: Arches National Park entry now requires an entry appointment. See the NPS website for details.
