Join us for our Advent Series: Angels Among Us.
The angels that appear in the story of Jesus’ birth would have been very comfortable in our world of tweets and hashtags. Their messages were often short and to the point — their favorite line being #DoNotBeAfraid. As we look at the stories of these winged messengers to Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the Shepherds and their reactions to them, we will contemplate what messages we can offer that will counteract a culture of fear and bring #morehope, #morepeace, #morejoy, and #morelove to the world. Dec. 1st - Make Ready a People: #morehope Dec. 8th - Nothing Is Impossible: #morepeace Dec. 15th - Do Not Be Afraid: #morejoy Dec. 22nd - This Will Be a Sign: #morelove Dec. 24th - Christmas Eve -- #DoNotBeAfraid |

Join us for a very special Dinner Church this month as we celebrate Christmas Eve early! We'll have a special meal, sing some familiar carols, and reflect on the season with some engaging table conversation and candle lighting.
Are you going to be out of town for Christmas? This is a great opportunity to get in on the festivities! No cooking is required! There are gluten free options!
Dinner Church is located in Basalt at 167 Holland Hills Road. The gathering begins at 6:00 in the evening.

As the pendulum again swings to its lowest point, and darkness wraps itself around us like a shawl, it is more important than ever that we remember the light. Our planet is riddled with pockets of places torn asunder by violence, hatred and fear; places of extreme discomfort. Some of us here feel that discomfort. If we do not feel our own grief, we are feeling the grief of those who live in the pockets of disparity and despair.
Join us December 20th at 6 pm for a Blue Christmas gathering. This event is nondenominational and is being lead by Sean Jeung, a retired Valley View Hospital chaplain. |
